Sam-Teld is a full-service company. We provide not only the software, but also the hardware for total turnkey IT systems. Our company also offers our customers excellent support and training. The company is organised around two divisions, the Technical Department, and the Software Department. The Technical Department supplies and supports the hardware and standard software needed by our customers. Our Technical Department personnel are certified to provide support for HP Open View, Checkpoint 1 firewall, and other operation software. The Department is especially proficient in configuring and installing servers, PC's, printers, and network equipment.

Our Software Department is best known for its tailor-made IT systems, which are grounded in the Oracle environment. We utilise the well-known tools of CASE, Oracle Designer/2000, Oracle/WebDB, and Oracle Developer/2000. Our staff is fully conversant as well with the UNIX, NT and MPE platforms.

Much of our continuing education training over the past few years has been focused on developing an in-depth proficiency in the Oracle IT environment. Although eight members of the Sam-Teld team hold M.Sc. degrees or the equivalent, the continuing education of our entire staff remains a high priority. Sam-Teld is able, therefore, to ensure that our personnel remain fully qualified and knowledgeable of the latest developments in the world of IT design and implementation.

The vast majority of our experience stems from providing administrative IT solutions for the Faroese Government and other public agencies. This background, coupled with our experience and training, enables Sam-Teld to undertake the most complicated and demanding IT projects in close co-operation with our clients. In fact, our exclusive systems analyses enable our clients to precisely delineate their needs and together with our engineers and developers design the most appropriate system, tailor-made to the customer's unique specifications.

Building upon the Oracle Financials system, Sam-Teld has provided the Faroese Government with specially designed IT solutions. Adapting the Oracle Financials system to the diverse and complicated needs of the various Government agencies was a singular and stimulating challenge. Working in association with our IT associates, we were able, however, to meet this special challenge and implement systems that are perhaps unique in the world of administrative IT.

To name but a few of our other projects, we recently successfully completed the total integration of the Faroese Government's pension fund system. The system was implemented utilising Oracle Designer/2000 and was harmonised into the standard journalling system, Scan-Jour, to form a totally integrated and user-friendly system. Because of our extensive experience in configuring such systems, we were able to complete the project on time and within the projected budget.

Another important project that was recently awarded to Sam-Teld is the redesign of the Faroese Government's payroll system. Sam-Teld won this major contract against stiff competition from not only Faroese, but also international IT concerns.
